Review Dynatrace Prerequisites

Before configuring the Dynatrace integration, ensure the following are in place.

Dynatrace Platform

• Dynatrace SaaS tenant (cloud). Dynatrace Managed (on-premise) is not supported.
• Grail enabled on your tenant (required for log storage and OpenPipeline).

Caution

This integration requires Dynatrace SaaS (cloud). Dynatrace Managed (on-premise) is not supported. Additionally, Grail must be active on your SaaS tenant — classic log management (without Grail) is not supported.

Required Dynatrace Permissions

Your Dynatrace account must have permissions to:

Manage outbound host allowlist	Settings > Preferences
Install apps from Hub / Marketplace	Dynatrace Hub

Required API Token Scopes

Create an API token with the following scopes for the collector to send data:

Scope	Purpose
logs.ingest	Send log records to Dynatrace

Note

Keep this token in a secure location. It will be used in the collector configuration and optionally stored in Credential Vault.

Dynatrace Hub Access

Access to Dynatrace Hub is required to install the MS Teams Observability application. If Hub access is restricted in your environment, the app can alternatively be installed via ZIP upload (see Installation).
